چکیده

The interaction between non-ionic surfactants and cholesterol has been studied by reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography (RP-TLC) using cholesterol impregnated TLC plates and methanol–water mixtures as mobile phases. The RM values obtained were in linear correlation with the methanol concentration of the mobile phase. The intercept obtained from linear regression analysis (RM0), being characteristic for the strength of interaction, and the slope (b), being related to the surface area of

Anionic/Non-ionic Surfactants in Aqueous Phase of Thin Film Composite Poly(Paraphenylene Terephthalamide) Nanofiltration Membranes

In this work, the Interfacial interfacial polymerization (IP) technique was employed using terephthaloyl chloride (TPC) and p-phenylenediamine (PPD), as reactant monomers, to prepare poly(paraphenylene terephthalamide) thin film composite (TFC) nanofiltration on polyethersulphone (PES) support layer. The effects of six different anionic and non-ionic surfactants, in the aqueous phase on the mor...

Effect of non-ionic surfactants as mobile phase additives on the fluorescence intensity of dansyl derivatives of biogenic amines in high-performance thin-layer chromatography

The effects of non-ionic surfactants as mobile phase additives on the fluorescence intensity of dansyl derivatives of biogenic amines in high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) were investigated. The dansyl derivatives of putrescine, cadaverine, spermidine and spermine were separated by HPTLC with silica gel as stationary phase and an eluent consisting of chloroform–triethylamine (2 ...

Use of a Glutamic Acid-containing Aqueous–organic Mobile Phase for On-plate Separation, Detection, and Identification of Cationic and Non-ionic Surfactants by Thin-layer Chromatography

A new thin-layer chromatographic system comprising silica gel G as stationary-phase and a three-component mobile phase, 0.1 M glutamic acid–methanol–acetone, 1:1:1 (v/v), has been found to be highly suitable for separation and identification of cationic and non-ionic surfactants. The experimental conditions were optimized to achieve differential migration of the surfactants. In addition to achi...

Interaction of surfactants with homologous series of peptides studied by reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography.

The relative strength of interaction between anionic (SDS) and nonionic surfactant (octaethoxylated oleyl alcohol, GEN) and homologous series of peptides was determined by reversed-phase thin-layer chromatography (RP-TLC) carried out on alumina layers impregnated with paraffin oil. The relative strength of interaction was calculated and was correlated with the physicochemical parameters of pept...

In vitro evaluation of itraconazole loaded vesicles prepared from non-ionic surfactants

This study aims to investigate the capability of forming itraconazole containing niosomes with Span 60 and Brij 58 as non-ionic surfactants. Lower cost and higher stability makes niosomes a more suitable choice in comparison with liposomes. The capability to form vesicles as an itraconazole delivery system and the influence of different factors such as type of surfactant and molar ratio of chole...
